Jacob and Chris Shaw founded Matthew 18 Ministries out of a shared passion for the Gospel and a deep desire to serve their community together. From the very beginning, they believed that faith is not just something to be spoken about—it’s something to be lived out in everyday life. With that conviction, they set out to create a ministry where young people and families could experience God’s love through meaningful relationships, mentorship, and practical support.
As parents, educators, and community leaders, the Shaws have always been committed to investing in the next generation. They have spent years walking alongside students, guiding them through challenges, and encouraging them to grow spiritually, emotionally, and academically. Their heart for discipleship has shaped the ministry’s programs and continues to influence everything Matthew 18 Ministries does.
What makes the Shaw family unique is their dedication to serving as a family unit. They model what it looks like to work together in unity, using their gifts and talents to build a stronger community. Whether they are leading discipleship programs, supporting outreach efforts, or mentoring students one-on-one, they do so with humility, compassion, and a deep sense of purpose.
Their vision for Matthew 18 Ministries is simple but powerful: to create a safe, supportive environment where people can encounter the hope of Jesus and find encouragement to become the people God created them to be. Through their leadership, the ministry continues to grow and reach more lives—one relationship at a time.
